Disney Updates Guardians of the Galaxy Ride to Curb Guest Jokes
Disney’s Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind attraction has received a subtle but significant update to its pre-show experience. The change addresses a recurring issue where guests would insert humorous or sometimes inappropriate remarks during a brief pause in the presentation.
The adjustment comes in the first pre-show room, where guests are greeted by Nova Prime Irani Rael (Glenn Close) before being introduced to Centurion Tal Marik (Terry Crews). The moment that previously allowed for spontaneous interjections, when Marik asks what the people of EPCOT call themselves, has been edited to remove the silence that enabled such remarks.
The update ensures a more controlled and consistent experience for all visitors. This follows Disney’s ongoing efforts to refine its attractions, balancing guest interaction with maintaining the intended narrative.
Other recent updates at Walt Disney World include new details about the reimagined Carousel of Progress, a delay in shipping for the popular album The Music of EPCOT, and the upcoming opening of a Hallmark Pop-Up Shop at Disney Springs on October 7.
