Disney World Celebrates 55th Anniversary with Special Remarks from Joe Schott
The Walt Disney World Resort is celebrating its 55th anniversary on October 1, 2026. To mark this milestone, Joe Schott, President of Walt Disney World Resort, will deliver remarks at Cinderella's Castle in Magic Kingdom Park. The ceremony starts with a brief speech by Joe Schott at 8:50 am.
Joe Schott has been the President of Walt Disney World Resort since earlier this year, replacing Jeff Vahle. With over 40 years of experience working for The Walt Disney Company, Schott began his career as a Jungle Cruise Skipper at Walt Disney World.
The anniversary celebration also includes special edition merchandise such as apparel, accessories, and pins featuring the 55th anniversary logo. A limited-edition Cinderella doll is also available. Additionally, guests can purchase a 55th-anniversary MagicBand+ online or in-park.
