Disney World Closes Popular Attractions, Reopens Iconic Lounge
Disney World is undergoing significant changes across its various theme parks and resorts. One of the most notable updates is the reopening of The Brown Derby Lounge in Hollywood Studios, which has been a welcome addition for many fans. However, it's not all good news as several popular attractions and amenities have closed or will be closing soon.
The Walt Disney Studios area in Hollywood Studios finally fully opened this week, but its opening was met with the closure of Vacation Fun for refurbishment. The attraction is expected to reopen on September 27th, marking its second closure this year after a brief pop-up event in May.
Over at Magic Kingdom, several changes are taking place. The iconic Carousel of Progress has been closed since July 6th for a major refurbishment that will revamp the scenes and introduce new animatronic technology. While no official opening date has been set for 2027, it's expected to be a highly anticipated attraction.
Meanwhile, Disney's Animal Kingdom is undergoing a massive transformation with the closure of DinoLand U.S.A. to make way for the new Tropical Americas land. This exciting new area will feature three new rides, a quick-service dining location, and more.
