Disney World Closures Remain Steady Amid Progress on New Attractions
This past week was a rare victory for Disney World visitors as there were no new temporary closures to report. However, next week's status remains uncertain.
The Magic of Disney Animation in Disney's Hollywood Studios and Hurly-Burly at Disney's BoardWalk have made significant progress, while Wolfgang Puck's in Disney Springs has closed permanently.
At Magic Kingdom, the Carousel of Progress is still undergoing a major refurbishment that began on July 6th and is expected to reopen in 2027. The Liberty Square Riverboat and Tom Sawyer Island are now permanently closed due to construction for the new Cars area, Piston Peak National Park.
