Disney World Closures: What You Need to Know About Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and Epcot

Disney World is undergoing significant renovations and closures to make way for new attractions and experiences. The most notable closures include Carousel of Progress, Big Top Souvenirs, Liberty Square Riverboat, and Tom Sawyer Island at Magic Kingdom, which are permanently closed to make way for the new Cars area, Piston Peak National Park.

The Magic of Disney Animation will be taking over the space where Star Wars Launch Bay is currently located in Walt Disney Studios. Additionally, Vacation Fun at Disney's Hollywood Studios will be closing again on August 9th with no reopening date announced yet.

EPCOT's Germany Pavilion will have its roof refurbished while sections of the Volkskunst store and guest bathrooms are closed for refurbishment. La Signature in the France Pavilion is also undergoing a refurbishment, and Disney's Animal Kingdom will see DinoLand, USA transformed into Tropical Americas land.
