Disney World Eliminates Single Rider Line for Expedition Everest Roller Coaster
The Walt Disney World Resort in Florida will no longer offer a single rider line for the popular roller coaster Expedition Everest - Legend of the Forbidden Mountain at Animal Kingdom. The change comes after Disney introduced a new queue procedure earlier this year, which has led to shorter wait times in the standby line.
As part of the new protocol, cast members group guests in the standby line by odd- and even-numbered parties before boarding. This results in trains having fewer single seats that need filling, making the single rider line less efficient.
The single rider line for Expedition Everest will be discontinued on September 21, 2026. It's worth noting that this change does not affect the availability of single rider lines at other Disney World attractions, such as Test Track and Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets.
