Disney World Expansion: Monstropolis and Tropical Americas Set to Open in 2027

Disney World is gearing up for a massive expansion in 2027 with several new lands and attractions opening at both Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom. One of the most anticipated additions will be Monstropolis, which will feature The Glob Theater and its 'Welcome to Monstropolis' show, but the main attraction, a door coaster, won't be ready until later.

The land will also include various restaurants and shops, including Archie's Scare Pig Pizza and Harryhausen's restaurant, where guests can enjoy an Animatronic monster chef. Meanwhile, Tropical Americas at Animal Kingdom will introduce a new South American village called Pueblo Esperanza, featuring an Encanto-themed ride-through experience with 50 animal Animatronics.

The revamped Carousel of Progress will also open in the late spring of 2027, offering a new take on the classic show. Additionally, Disney is offering various discounts and promotions for stays next year, including up to 25% off select rooms and savings of $250 per night on room-and-ticket packages.
