Disney World Guests Forced to Reconsider Early 2027 Bookings Amid Major Expansion
Visitors planning to visit Walt Disney World in early 2027 are facing a dilemma. The resort has several major additions scheduled for that year, but many of these projects won't be ready at the beginning of January.
The Tropical Americas expansion at Animal Kingdom is expected to replace DinoLand U.S.A. and feature two significant attractions: Antonio's Fiesta de Encanto and Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent. However, these new lands may not be operational until later in the year.
Disney's Hollywood Studios will also receive a major addition with Monstropolis, but this land is expected to open in phases, with its headline door-vault coaster debuting at a later date. This means that guests who visit early may miss some of the new attractions and experiences.
The decision to cancel an existing reservation for an early 2027 trip or wait until later in the year has several factors to consider. On one hand, waiting could mean arriving after the new lands are operational, but on the other hand, it also means potentially missing out on discounted resort rooms and package deals.
