Disney World Overhauls Digital Services for Simplified Booking Experience
Walt Disney World has embarked on its latest digital transformation, aiming to simplify booking and planning vacations for guests. This overhaul is part of a series of updates that have been rolled out over the past few years, with the goal of improving user experience.
The new website features a cleaner design, with fewer options in the top navigation bar and a more streamlined layout. The redesign includes flexible date searches, price comparison calendars, side-by-side resort hotel comparisons, and AI-generated summaries to highlight relevant details or differences.
According to Walt Disney World leadership, the changes are driven by guest feedback, with some visitors revisiting the website 20-30 times before booking. The updates aim to reduce friction in finding vacation packages, hotels, tickets, special offers, and more.
The overhaul also includes an overhauled app, which will be launched in phases at Walt Disney World in the coming months, followed by Disneyland in early 2027. Key features of the new app include a cleaner home screen, a trip planning checklist, and easier access to relevant information for guests.
