Walt Disney World's construction and expansion continue at full pace, with recent permits filing shedding light on planned changes across multiple areas of the resort.
Magic Kingdom is home to three of these filings: two related to Pirates of the Caribbean. The first involves work on the ride's facade and queue area, while the second covers the show building itself. While Disney hasn't confirmed specifics, general maintenance seems a likely explanation for the permits.
The third Magic Kingdom permit proves more intriguing, as it hints at new construction near Haunted Mansion. With an address not yet existing in the system, this suggests a brand-new structure is on its way. Our best guess is that it's tied to Piston Peak, given Disney's tease of the land's development.
Disney Springs boasts seven permits of its own, all categorized under general construction and carried out by Buena Vista Construction Company. One permit mentions work on the bridge crossing the lagoon between Marketplace and Town Center, a crucial area for navigation within the shopping district.
