Disney World President Joe Schott Celebrates Resort's 55th Anniversary with App Message

Walt Disney World President Joe Schott marked the resort's 55th anniversary with a special message on the Walt Disney World app. The message reads, 'Happy Anniversary, Walt Disney World.'

The Most Magical Place On Earth has been entertaining families for five and a half decades. Schott's message continues, 'Thank you for including Walt Disney World in your lives. Here's to the memories we've made together and all that's still to come.'

Schott will also deliver brief remarks later today at Magic Kingdom's Cinderella Castle at 8:50 a.m.

With 55 years of history, Walt Disney World Resort has become an integral part of many families' lives. Schott is a 40-year veteran of The Walt Disney Company and began his career as a Jungle Cruise Skipper at the resort.
