Disney World raises ticket and pass prices amid record expansion
Walt Disney World has announced a price hike for theme park tickets, annual passes, and Lightning Lane services, effective Thursday. The highest-priced one-day, one-park ticket will now cost $229, up from $219. Annual pass prices have also increased across all four tiers, with the top-tier Incredi-Pass rising by $120, from $1,629 to $1,749. The Lightning Lane Premier Pass ceiling has increased by $50, from $449 to $499.
There have been no changes to the Lightning Lane Multi Pass, and no announcement regarding theme park parking rates. According to Gavin Doyle, founder of MickeyVisit.com, Disney World ticket prices have increased by up to 97% over the past decade. The price adjustments come as the resort undergoes its largest expansion in Magic Kingdom history, including new themed lands at various parks.
Doyle noted that these increases coincide with a surge in popularity for in-person entertainment and rising wages for Cast Members. The expansion projects include a Cars-themed land, Villains Land, a Monsters, Inc. land at Hollywood Studios, and a Tropical Americas-inspired land at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
