Disney World reveals Monstropolis food with a monstrous twist
Walt Disney World has shared a sneak peek at the food offerings coming to its new Monstropolis land at Disney's Hollywood Studios. The land, set to open in 2027, will feature two dining locations: Harryhausen's sushi restaurant and Archie's Scare Pig Pizza. Both venues will offer dishes with a Monstrous twist, blending traditional cuisine with creative, film-inspired presentations.
Harryhausen's aims to provide an upscale dining experience for all ages. The menu will include sushi and ramen, with a focus on making the food both delicious and entertaining. For example, a fish cake is designed to resemble an eyeball when cut open, and green-colored eggs add a playful touch. Beverage Director Evan Rosenthal emphasized the goal of creating a fun and appealing menu for guests of all ages.
Archie's Scare Pig Pizza takes inspiration from Monsters University, offering a more laid-back atmosphere akin to a favorite college pizza joint. The culinary team also tackled the challenge of bringing Blort, a drink from the Monsters, Inc. film, to life by determining its taste. Both dining locations will open with Monstropolis in 2027, adding to the immersive experience of the new land.
