Disney World Ride Closures Leave Thousands Frustrated

Disney World faced an unprecedented number of ride closures yesterday, affecting over 30 attractions across its four theme parks. The disruptions were caused by a combination of factors, including typical afternoon thunderstorms in Central Florida, computer sensor resets, and unexpected mechanical glitches.

The Magic Kingdom was one of the hardest-hit parks, with several E-ticket headliners experiencing outages. TRON Lightcycle / Run and Tiana's Bayou Adventure both went dark for around 45 to 60 minutes, while Pirates of the Caribbean was closed for over 40 minutes.

EPCOT also suffered technical issues, with Test Track facing the longest cumulative downtime at nearly two hours. The Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros and Journey Into Imagination with Figment were both closed for around 30 to 25 minutes, respectively.

Disney's Hollywood Studios experienced its own share of disruptions, including a severe mid-morning breakdown that took Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance offline for over an hour. Slinky Dog Dash was grounded for 50 minutes due to afternoon storms.
