Disney World Rolls Out AI-Powered Vacation Planning Tools in Beta Test
Walt Disney World has begun beta testing its new AI-powered vacation planning tools on its website. A small number of randomly selected guests will see a 'Guided Search, BETA' tab on the homepage, which asks them to log in with their My Disney Experience account to begin the process.
The tool uses Google Cloud and Google's AI technology to help guests plan their trip, starting by asking when they want to visit. Guests can choose specific dates, a single month, or a season, and then describe their preferences in a free-text box. The tool searches every eligible offer, room type, and rate for the chosen window.
Results include an interactive map with nightly rate bubbles over each resort, allowing guests to weigh price against distance to the parks at a glance. A pricing and availability calendar shows nightly rates day by day across multiple months for a specific room type.
