Disney World Tests AI-Powered Vacation Planning
Disney World has introduced an AI-guided vacation planning experience to help guests navigate the complex process of booking a trip. The new system, currently in beta testing, uses artificial intelligence to assist with choosing hotels, purchasing theme park tickets, and comparing prices.
The company has partnered with Google Cloud and Gemini to develop the technology, which aims to simplify the vacation-planning experience for first-time visitors. Disney research found that planning a trip can be overwhelming, especially for those who have never visited before.
Traditionally, guests could speak directly with cast members to receive help with their decisions, but the new system is designed to reduce the need for human assistance. AI will now handle more of the work before a guest reaches a cast member, making the process faster and more efficient.
