Disney World Unveils AI-Powered Vacation Planning Tool with Beta Launch
Disney World has launched an AI-powered vacation planning tool on its website, allowing guests to plan their trip using a conversational interface. The beta version of the tool is currently available for a small number of randomly selected guests in the United States and Canada.
The tool uses Google Cloud and Google's AI tools to provide personalized recommendations based on a guest's preferences and travel dates. Guests can input their party size, travel dates, and preferences, and the tool will return a list of resorts that match their criteria.
Two features of the tool are particularly useful for guests: an interactive map that shows nightly rates for each resort, and a pricing calendar that displays daily rates for specific room types. The tool also automatically applies discounts to find the best rate for a guest's trip.
However, the tool excludes certain aspects of planning, including dining reservations, Lightning Lane, and multi-room bookings. Disney has acknowledged that the tool may make mistakes and is asking guests to verify information before booking.
