Disney Worldbuilders Debut on Disney+, HGTV's Nostalgic Competition Show Premieres
Disney has released a new documentary called 'Disney Worldbuilders' on its streaming service Disney+. The film features interviews with Disney storytellers and executives, including James Cameron, Jennifer Lee, and Kevin Feige. It also includes an interview with Mt. Lebanon native Dave Filoni, who is now co-head of Lucasfilm, the division of Disney responsible for the Star Wars franchise.
Filoni discusses how he was inspired by George Lucas's creation and legacy, saying 'If you look at George Lucas, he was like our Walt Disney.' He also talks about his work on The Mandalorian, a live-action series that combines new and old elements of the Star Wars universe. Filoni says, 'We added something to the world that wasn't there before... We're tying new things to old things.'
On the HGTV network, a new show called Totally '90s House premiered on August 26. The show features two teams of stars from the 1990s competing to renovate two homes and preserve their nostalgic charm.
