Disney World's Beignet Bonanza Moves to New Location
Walt Disney World's iconic Mickey-shaped beignets will temporarily relocate to a different spot due to the planned closure of Scat Cat's Club Café and Lounge at Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter. The lounge, known for its Mickey-shaped beignets, is closing on October 6 for refurbishment.
During this time, the beignets and coffee will move to Sassagoula Floatworks & Food Factory, a food court located just around the corner from Scat Cat's Club Café. The Ghoulish Delight beignets, a seasonal option featuring cookies-and-cream filled beignets topped with marshmallow drizzle, will also relocate.
Scat Cat's Club Café is scheduled to reopen in December 2026, and the Mickey beignets and coffee are expected to return to this location once it reopens. The Scat Cat's Club Lounge, however, may remain closed until January 2027, with no official reopening date announced by Disney.
A temporary bar will be created near the café while the lounge is closed, operating from 5 PM to 11 PM daily during the closure period.
