Disney World’s Lakeshore Lodge Opens July 2027 with Lazy River and Private Lake Houses
Disney World’s newest hotel, Lakeshore Lodge, is set to open on July 1, 2027, marking the first completely new hotel in the Magic Kingdom Resort Area since 2019. The lodge, located on the shores of Bay Lake next to Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort, will feature a whimsical, woodsy theme inspired by classic Disney animated films like Bambi, Pocahontas, and Brother Bear. The resort will include 967 guest rooms, ranging from cozy studios to spacious villas and freestanding A-frame Lake Houses, offering privacy, full kitchens, and private porches.
Guests will enjoy a variety of amenities, including the Wetlands pool complex with a waterslide, lazy river, splash pad, and leisure pool. The resort will also offer stunning views of Magic Kingdom fireworks and the Electrical Water Pageant on Bay Lake. Standard Disney hotel perks, such as early theme park entry, extended evening hours, and optional dining plans, will be available. Bookings open this week, with Disney Vacation Club members getting the first chance on October 6, followed by annual passholders on October 7, and all other guests on October 8.
Dining options at Lakeshore Lodge will include Moonglade, a waterfront restaurant; Paint Out Point Bar and Grill, a casual American spot; Branch and Brush lounge; and the Bay Lake Provisions marketplace. While full details about dining are yet to be released, guests can look forward to an immersive experience that blends nature and Disney storytelling throughout the resort.
