Disney World's Secret Location Tracking Methods Exposed
The Walt Disney World resort uses various methods to track guests' locations, including biometrics, MagicBands, the My Disney Experience App, and security cameras. Biometric data from fingerprint scanners is used to prevent ticket misuse and monitor park attendance.
MagicBands, which are not GPS-based, can detect users' locations when tapped at various points around the parks. The My Disney Experience App also tracks guests' locations if location services are enabled, allowing Disney to see how many people are in a park at any given time.
Some benefits of location tracking include easier lost child reunification and access to app features like restaurant wait lists and ride photo delivery. However, many guests prefer not to be tracked due to privacy concerns.
