Disney World's September Shake-Up: Cool KIDS SUMMER Ends, Typhoon Lagoon Closes
Disney World has been busy making changes to its parks and amenities in September. One of the most notable changes is the end of Cool KIDS SUMMER, which brought activities like Jessie's Roundup at The Diamond Horseshoe in Magic Kingdom and GoofyCore in EPCOT to a close.
The free water park perk for Disney World hotel guests ended on September 8th, but it will be back next year with some changes. Typhoon Lagoon closed for its seasonal refurbishment on September 9th, while Blizzard Beach remains open.
Coral Reef Restaurant in EPCOT closed on September 8th for a months-long refurbishment and is scheduled to reopen on November 4th. The Magic of Disney Animation opened in Disney's Hollywood Studios, featuring interactive galleries, character meet-and-greets, and more.
