Disneyland Paris Transforms Disney Village with New Shopping and Dining Experiences
Disneyland Paris is undergoing significant changes, and its shopping district, Disney Village, is at the forefront of this transformation. According to Jillian DeKunder, Director, Operating Participants at Disneyland Paris, 'Disney Village has always been much more than simply a route between our Parks and our Hotels.' The first phase of this transformation kicked off in December 2023 with the opening of Brasserie Rosalie.
One of the major updates coming to Disney Village is the new Disney Wonders shop, set to open on September 22, 2026. This will be a bright and contemporary boutique where guests can immerse themselves in Disney storytelling while shopping. The exterior of the building will feature original artwork inspired by Peter Pan, Star Wars, and Toy Story.
Disney Wonders aims to offer an immersive shopping experience with new surprises on each visit. The shop will celebrate the artistry of Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar Animation Studios through illustrations that bring iconic scenes to life using Tinker Bell's pixie dust and Luxo Jr.'s lamp. Another major update is Casa Giulia, a family Italian restaurant located at the entrance to Disney Village.
Casa Giulia will offer around 260 seats indoors and an additional 120 on its outdoor terrace. The architecture will be inspired by Italian textures and architectural codes, creating a warm and natural setting. The menu will feature classic Italian cuisine with seasonal offerings and drinks. A quick-service restaurant, Giulia Express, will also be available, offering pizza by the slice, focaccia, pastries, and ice creams.
Additionally, the Pathé Cinema in Disney Village is set to undergo a comprehensive refurbishment, delivering a more contemporary experience for guests. The cinema's exterior will feature a new facade designed by Ora-ïto, integrating it seamlessly with the architecture of Disney Village. The auditoriums will be refurbished in batches as the transformation takes place.
Other changes coming to Disney Village include Vapiano, which is closing at the end of 2026 for a complete redesign and modernization. Annette's Diner is also undergoing an extensive refurbishment, set to reopen in 2027 with a refreshed look and new features. The restaurant will retain its retro spirit while offering a more comfortable and modern dining experience.
