Disneyland is embarking on a major transformation as part of its $1.9 billion DisneylandForward expansion plan. The first step in this ambitious project involves demolishing four ticket booths to make way for a new pedestrian bridge over Harbor Boulevard.

The new bridge will connect the esplanade between Disneyland and Disney California Adventure, allowing millions of visitors to easily access the new lands and attractions debuting at the Anaheim theme park resort over the next five years.

According to Disneyland officials, work on the project has begun this week, starting with the eastern ticket booths. The permits filed by the company call for the removal of foundations and capping of utilities on each of the 700-square-foot ticket booths.
