Disneyland Resort has announced that Avengers Infinity Defense, a new Marvel-themed ride, will debut in 2028 at California Adventure park. The reveal came during the Horizons: Disney Experiences Showcase at D23, the company's biennial fan event held at the Anaheim Convention Center. The ride will be part of an expansion of the Avengers Campus section, doubling its size and adding a second attraction called Stark Flight Lab.
Avengers Infinity Defense will feature guests joining the Avengers to battle King Thanos, a version of the villain from a reality where he defeated the heroes. The ride will include appearances by Ms. Marvel, Hawkeye, Captain America, and Thor, with actors Iman Vellani, Jeremy Renner, Anthony Mackie, and Chris Hemsworth reprising their Marvel Cinematic Universe roles. The experience will blend massive physical sets with media scenes, taking guests to locations like Asgard, Wakanda, and New York City.
In addition to the California Adventure expansion, Disney announced that the Avengers Research Testing Labs will open at Hong Kong Disneyland's Marvel area. Meanwhile, Shanghai Disneyland is set to feature a dedicated Spider-Man land, with the final piece of the track for its roller coaster recently installed.
