Disney's Animal Kingdom Ride Shortage Causes Long Wait Times
Disney's Animal Kingdom is experiencing an annoying problem due to its limited number of rides. With over 50 attractions across four theme parks, it may seem like Disney World has plenty to offer. However, Animal Kingdom stands out as the park with the fewest rides, and this scarcity is causing wait times to soar.
The closure of DinoLand U.S.A. in February led to the removal of several attractions, including TriceraTop Spin and DINOSAUR. This reduction has resulted in longer wait times for the remaining rides, especially Pandora, The World of Avatar's Navi River Journey and Avatar Flight of Passage.
Kilimanjaro Safaris is another popular attraction that can have extremely long wait times due to its unique experience of seeing actual animals in their natural habitats. Additionally, the Wildlife Express Train can get long waits because it transports guests to Bluey's Wild World, which has recently opened and features popular characters.
The situation may seem frustrating, but Disney is working on a solution. A new land called Pueblo Esperanza is set to open in 2027 with three new attractions: El Carrusel de los Animalitos, Antonio's Fiesta de Encanto, and Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent.
