Disney's Bulochnikov-Paul Exits After Eight Years

Naomi Bulochnikov-Paul is leaving her role as EVP Communications for Disney Entertainment Television after eight years at the company. In a memo to her team, she revealed that she's departing 'to pursue a new opportunity,' but didn't disclose details about her next move.

Bulochnikov-Paul first joined Disney in March 2017 as VP Communications at Freeform and quickly made a name for herself by spearheading the first-ever Freeform Summit. She then left for a nine-month stint at Netflix before returning to Freeform, where she was promoted to SVP of Communications for ABC Entertainment in 2019.

In 2021, Bulochnikov-Paul was promoted again, this time to EVP, Publicity for ABC & General Entertainment. She continued to rise through the ranks and was eventually named EVP, Publicity, and Head of Communications for Disney General Entertainment in 2023. However, her position changed slightly in April under new Disney CEO Josh D'Amaro.

Bulochnikov-Paul expressed gratitude to her colleagues, including Dana Walden, Debra O'Connell, and Paul Roeder, and praised the team's resilience and commitment to each other. She acknowledged navigating high-profile challenges during her tenure, including Jimmy Kimmel's suspension and ABC's face-off with the FCC.
