Disney's Coco Ride Construction Heats Up at California Adventure
The Coco boat ride construction site at Disney California Adventure is progressing with new landscaping and pipes being added. The construction area, located between IncrediCoaster and Disneyland Drive on the west side of the park, has seen significant changes in recent updates. A large dirt pile spanning across the area has been added, along with more landscaping planted along Disneyland Drive.
A photo shows a large pile of gray and white pipes placed between green gates closest to Disneyland Dr. Yellow railings have also been installed along a trench on the upper left side of the construction site.
The Coco ride is being developed by Disney in collaboration with Pixar Animation Studios. Although the ride's name and opening timeframe have not been announced, details shared at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event revealed that the attraction will continue Miguel Rivera's story approximately one year after the film. This allows for Héctor to be publicly celebrated as the musician he was before Ernesto de la Cruz stole his songs.
