Disney's Contemporary Resort Refurbishment Hits New Phase with Crane Installation

Walt Disney World Resort has entered a new phase in the ongoing exterior refurbishment of Disney's Contemporary Resort, marking its 55th year. A crane has been installed on site to aid in the construction process.

The refurbishment project began in September 2024 and initially had an estimated completion date of September 2025. However, this was later pushed back to July 2026 and most recently updated to late 2027.

Guests can still access hotel amenities such as the monorail, bus transportation, pools, and restaurants throughout the construction project. While some areas may be closed due to construction activity, many facilities remain available for use.
