Disney's Cosmic Rewind Plays 'September' Non-Stop as Waits Hit 185 Minutes
Disney's EPCOT theme park at Walt Disney World has been attracting large crowds for its Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind attraction. On September 21, the ride's usual randomized soundtrack system was bypassed in favor of a single song: 'September' by Earth, Wind & Fire.
This is not a new promotion, but rather an annual event at the park that has become a fixture on EPCOT's yearly calendar. The change allowed riders to experience the attraction with a guaranteed soundtrack, although this came with longer-than-usual waits and a shortened preshow for first-time riders.
The peak wait time for Cosmic Rewind reached 185 minutes in the evening, although it dropped significantly during Extended Evening Hours from 9:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., which are only open to guests staying at Disney Deluxe resorts.
