Disney's Galactic Gamble Puts Fortnite on the Big Screen

The Disney and Fortnite collaboration has taken another step forward as visitors to the Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run ride at Disneyland or Disney World can now earn exclusive in-game rewards. To receive these rewards, guests must link their MyDisney account with their Epic Games account while on the ride. This will grant them access to a new custom Star Wars island called Smugglers Gambit within Fortnite.

Smugglers Gambit allows players to take on the role of a smuggler from the Outer Rim and explore two new locations: Ord Ryla and Mersa Veta Station. The game features co-op missions, quests, class choices, leveling up, and new gear available for unlocking. Players will battle pirates, Imperial remnants, and wildlife in this immersive experience.

The ride tie-in is a result of the Star Wars IP Toolkit's launch in Fortnite in May, which drew in 8 million players within the first 72 hours. This collaboration marks a significant milestone in the convergence of theme park experiences and video games.
