Disney's Grand Floridian Resort Splash Pad Reopens With Changes
The Grand Floridian Resort & Spa at Walt Disney World Resort has reopened its Alice in Wonderland-themed splash pad, but it's not quite as it was before. The water feature closed on August 30 as part of a wider series of refurbishments and construction projects at the Deluxe Disney Resort hotel.
When it reopened on October 1, one notable change caught the attention of WDWNT: the Mad Hatter bucket that used to dump gallons of water on guests is now stationary and no longer functions as intended. Instead, a smaller amount of water constantly spills out naturally from the top hat.
The refurbishment appears to have been focused on replacing the flooring in the area after years of wear and tear.
