Disney's Hollywood Studios Ditches Disney Jr. Meet-and-Greet Area

Disney's Hollywood Studios has been criticized for lacking attractions geared towards young children. To address this issue, Disney added a meet-and-greet area specifically for kids who watch Disney Junior shows. The area featured characters from popular shows such as Sofia the First and SuperKitties.

The Disney Jr. mural along Commissary Lane was repainted in blue after being removed, leaving behind remnants of its previous design. The area had been a success, allowing small kids to meet their favorite characters without having to navigate around thrill rides with height requirements.

Disney has not announced any plans to replace the Disney Jr. location, leading some parents to speculate that the removal might be related to the recent opening of The Magic of Disney Animation at the Walt Disney Studios Lot. However, this is just speculation and the timing could simply be a coincidence.
