Disney's Hollywood Studios Drains Echo Lake for S.S. Down the Hatch Refurbishment

Disney's Hollywood Studios has begun a refurbishment project at Echo Lake, draining the water from the lake to access and repair S.S. Down the Hatch, the boat housing Dockside Diner.

The scaffolding covering large sections of the boat's hull and upper deck suggests significant work is being done to the structure.

Despite the construction activity, Dockside Diner remains open, with a counter-service window continuing to serve guests. Signage around the perimeter reads 'Echo Lake is being refurbished for your future enjoyment,' though no completion date has been announced.
