Disney's Hollywood Studios Gets Animated: Olaf Takes Center Stage

Disney's Hollywood Studios is getting a new addition, an Olaf Audio-Animatronic figure that will host 'Olaf Draws!' - a classroom-style experience where guests can learn to draw Disney characters. The figure, designed specifically for the stationary setting of 'Olaf Draws!', has been in development and was showcased at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event.

The Olaf Audio-Animatronic retains its familiar appearance from the Frozen films, with a carrot nose, twig-like arms and hair, coal buttons, and expressive facial features. It will be positioned at an animator's desk, recreating one of Olaf's memorable moments from the short film Once Upon a Studio.

'Olaf Draws!' will be part of The Magic of Disney Animation, which is set to open on September 14, 2026. The experience will feature original dialogue recorded by Josh Gad and will include prerecorded lessons from Walt Disney Animation Studios artists. Guests can expect to learn how to draw characters such as Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Genie, Moana, Stitch, Ursula, Olaf, Judy Hopps, and Nick Wilde.
