Disney's Hollywood Studios Unveils Hidden Treasures in Upcoming Magic of Disney Animation Attraction
The Magic of Disney Animation is set to open at Disney's Hollywood Studios on September 14. But before its grand opening, fans have been given a sneak peek at some of the hidden Easter eggs scattered throughout the attraction.
A recent video posted to Instagram revealed an animator's desk from one of the sets, which dates back to the Animation Academy that used to be part of the building. The desk is just one of several details that can be found in the background.
The exterior of the Magic of Disney Animation building is actually a smaller replica of the Walt Disney Animation Building in California. A mirror featuring Donald Duck and his nephews, acquired by Dan Abraham, director of Once Upon a Studio, is another notable find.
A vintage issue of Rabbit Rabbit, the newsletter sent to animators who used to work in the building when it was a working studio, can also be spotted. Additionally, a mug gifted to the architects who designed the original animation building adds to the nostalgic feel.
The attraction's attention to detail is even more impressive with the discovery of actual items from Disney films, including a Moana hat and a Hercules jacket, which are not replicas but rather genuine pieces given to the teams working on these projects.
