Disney's Imagineering Story Returns with Glimpse into Future Theme Park Attractions

Disney's new ride construction and development will be featured in the return of an acclaimed streaming series, The Imagineering Story. After a successful first season that explored the history of Walt Disney Imagineering, creator Leslie Iwerks is back to document the inner workings of Imagineers as they design and build future attractions.

The second season of The Imagineering Story will focus on in-development projects, including Avengers Campus expansion at Disney California Adventure and Piston Peak National Park at Magic Kingdom. Iwerks has also been documenting the creation of upcoming rides like Tropical Americas at Disney's Animal Kingdom and The Lion King log flume ride.

The new season is set to premiere on Disney+ in 2028, although an exact release date has not yet been announced. Fans can get a sneak peek at Iwerks' work by reading her book, The Imagineering Story, which was published in 2022 and contains extended anecdotes from the show.
