Disney's Lakeshore Lodge Resort Opening Date Confirmed for Summer 2027

Disney's long-awaited Lakeshore Lodge resort is finally taking shape. The massive new waterfront resort, located on the former site of Disney's River Country water park, will welcome its first guests on July 1, 2027.

The early bird gets the worm, or in this case, the chance to book a room at Lakeshore Lodge before anyone else. Disney Vacation Club (DVC) Members will have priority access to make cash reservations starting October 6, 2026. One day later, on October 7, Walt Disney World Annual Passholders can begin booking their stays.

Then, on October 8, the general public can finally start making reservations online or by calling (407) 934-7639. With nearly 1,000 accommodations planned, including themed rooms inspired by various Disney films, waterfront accommodations, and new restaurants, Lakeshore Lodge is shaping up to be a major addition to Walt Disney World.

Lakeshore Lodge will feature different accommodation categories drawing inspiration from multiple Disney stories, all connected by their natural setting. For example, one-bedroom villas will draw inspiration from Bambi (1942), while resort studios will incorporate elements from the classic animated film Pocahontas (1995). Guests interested in something newer can opt for Duo studios featuring inspiration from Encanto (2021).
