Disney's Magic Kingdom Monorail Service Disrupted Again
The Walt Disney World Express Monorail is currently unavailable, causing disruptions to guest travel between Magic Kingdom and the Transportation and Ticket Center. The Resort Monorail was initially still running but later closed as well.
According to WDW News Today, when the Express Monorail sign at Magic Kingdom read 'Monorail service is currently not operating,' guests were advised to use alternate transportation. Meanwhile, the Resort Monorail continued to operate with stops at nearby resorts, including Disney's Polynesian Village Resort.
Trains were spotted parked on the Express line at the Transportation and Ticket Center and Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. A train that was taken out of service at Disney's Contemporary Resort forced all guests on board to exit at the resort. The Resort Monorail then closed as well, although it is unclear if this was due to the same reason or a separate issue.
The EPCOT Monorail line appears to be unaffected by the disruptions and continues to operate normally. Ferryboat service remains available between Magic Kingdom and the Transportation and Ticket Center, as well as to nearby resorts.
