Disney's Magic Kingdom to Close Two Attractions for Refurbishment This Fall

The Walt Disney World Railroad and Tiana's Bayou Adventure will be closed for refurbishment this fall at the Magic Kingdom.

The Walt Disney World Railroad, which has been operating in shuttle mode since July 2025 due to construction in Frontierland and Villains Land, will close from September 28 through October 29, 2026.

This marks its first refurbishment since opening, with the full railroad route expected to return once new additions are complete.

Tiana's Bayou Adventure, which has been experiencing technical issues and wear and tear since its opening in 2024, will close beginning November 2, 2026 for an undisclosed amount of time. Its gift shops, Critter Co-Op and Tiana's Bayou General, will also be closed during this period.
