Disney's Monstropolis Aims High with Unique Restaurants
The highly anticipated Monstropolis land at Disney's Hollywood Studios is set to open in phases starting from 2027. The area will feature a suspended-door coaster, the Glob Theater, and two new restaurants.
One of the most exciting aspects of Monstropolis is the restaurant Harryhausen's, which will be an upscale Japanese eatery inspired by the movie Monsters, Inc. The sushi chef in the film has been brought to life as an Audio-Animatronics figure that guests will see in action.
The menu at Harryhausen's promises to be unique and creative, with dishes named after characters from the film. However, some Disney fans are concerned about the pizza options at Monstropolis, specifically a new quick-service spot called Archie's Scare Pig Pizza. The current PizzeRizzo pizza has been criticized for its soft, doughy crust-to-topping ratio, earning it the nickname 'pillowy'.
