Disney's Real-Time Puzzle Unfolds New S.E.A. Character

Walt Disney Imagineering has launched an interactive puzzle that's unfolding in real-time, and fans are invited to participate. At the center of this mystery is a brand-new character from the Society of Explorers and Adventurers.

The puzzle began at D23 2026 in August, when Imagineers unveiled what was supposed to be a special crate from the S.E.A. Archive. However, instead of finding what was expected inside, the crowd discovered only bricks and a mysterious note indicating that someone or something had beaten them to it.

S.E.A. Archivist Bonnie Booker has been posting riddles on the Walt Disney Imagineering Instagram account, each tied to images of Disneyland. Solving these riddles reveals scrambled letters, which when unscrambled will spell out the name of the thief and introduce the new S.E.A. character.

So far, fans have solved three riddles, uncovering the letters T, L, and A. The remaining riddles are waiting to be cracked, and fans can participate by sharing their findings with @WaltDisneyImagineering on Instagram.
