Disney's Walden Offers 'A Lot of Money' for Bluey Rights
Dana Walden, president and chief creative officer of Walt Disney Co., expressed interest in acquiring the intellectual property rights for the popular preschool TV series Bluey. In an interview, she stated that if the opportunity arose, she 'would offer a lot of money' to Joe Brumm, the creator of the show.
The Bluey series is produced by the BBC and the Australian Broadcasting Corp., but its characters and merchandise are already featured at Disney theme parks. The show has gained immense popularity in the US, making it one of the most-watched series among preschoolers.
