Dollywood Foundation Honored as Disney Re-Releases '9 to 5'

The entertainment industry is paying tribute to Dolly Parton's legacy through a limited theatrical re-release of her iconic film '9 to 5.'

Disney's restored version of the 1980 comedy, starring Parton alongside Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin, will hit theaters on October 9, 2026. The special week-long run is part of Disney's effort to honor Parton's memory after her passing at age 80 in August 2026.

The event coincides with the newly designated 'Give Like Dolly Day,' which recognizes Parton's long history of charitable work. All net proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to The Dollywood Foundation's 'Dolly Parton's Imagination Library.'
