Dow Falls to Three-Month Low as US Stock Markets Close Mixed
US stock markets closed mixed on Wednesday, with some sectors gaining while others lost ground. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.86% to a three-month low, while the S&P 500 index declined 0.25%. In contrast, the NASDAQ Composite climbed 0.24%.
The biggest gainers among the top performers were Salesforce Inc., Apple Inc., and Amazon.com Inc., which rose 1.89%, 1.10%, and 1.01%, respectively. The worst performers included Walmart Inc., Merck & Company Inc., and 3M Company, which fell 2.70%, 2.66%, and 2.58%, respectively.
The NASDAQ Composite's top performers were NewGenIvf Group Ltd., Creative Media & Community Trust Corporation, and Tenon Medical Inc., which rose 133.33%, 52.60%, and 49.82%, respectively. The worst performers on the NASDAQ Composite included Liquidia Corporation, DarkIris Inc., and CVRx Inc., which fell 57.19%, 38.43%, and 33.46%, respectively.
