Dow Jones Industrial Average Holds Strong Dividend Yields Amid Record Highs
The Dow Jones Industrial Average has been trading near record highs, which is good news for investors. However, this surge in prices has lowered the dividend yield of some key components since the start of the year.
Despite this, there are still five stocks within the index that offer a high dividend yield of 2.9% or more.
The top performers among these stocks include Verizon Communications (VZ), with a dividend yield of 5.66%, and Chevron Corporation (CVX), with a dividend yield of 3.45%. Procter & Gamble (PG) and International Business Machines (IBM) also made the list, with dividend yields of 3% and 2.89%, respectively.
Nike Inc (NKE) was also included in this group, but its stock price has been trading at multi-year lows, which raises concerns about the sustainability of its current payout.
