Dow Jumps Over 150 Points Amid Mixed Sector Performance
U.S. stocks traded higher on Friday, with the Dow Jones index gaining around 150 points.
The Dow traded up 0.30% to 51,504.86 while the NASDAQ gained 0.08% to 26,959.93.
The S&P 500 also rose, gaining 0.10% to 7,711.60.
Leading and lagging sectors were mixed, with information technology shares jumping by 0.8% on Friday.
In contrast, communication services stocks fell by 1% during trading on Friday.
The University of Michigan's consumer sentiment index rose to 48.1 in September from a preliminary level of 47.8.
