Dow Tanks Amid Rising Oil Prices, Nvidia Bucks Trend with Record Buyback
The Dow Jones Industrial Average plummeted by 336 points on Monday to 51,492.19 in early trading due to rising oil prices and Treasury yields.
Nvidia bucked this trend with a 3.46% surge to $232.85 after announcing the largest share buyback authorization increase in its history, worth $150 billion under its existing repurchase program.
The company expects to execute this plan through fiscal 2028 and stated that it has sufficient cash generation capacity to invest in advanced technologies and return capital to shareholders.
