Dow Tumbles Over 400 Points as Crude Oil Prices Soar
The Dow Jones index fell by over 400 points on Tuesday, closing at 52,766.88, as crude oil prices surged and Treasury yields rose.
The CNN Money Fear and Greed Index moved into the 'Fear' zone with a reading of 44.2, down from its previous reading of 47.5.
Investors are awaiting earnings results from Ollie's Bargain Outlet Holdings Inc (NASDAQ:OLLI), Broadcom Inc (NASDAQ:AVGO) and Hewlett Packard Enterprise Co (NYSE:HPE) today.
Last month, the Dow gained over 1%, notching its fifth straight monthly advance, while the S&P 500 added 2.6% and the Nasdaq 3.9%.
