Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd., an Indian pharmaceutical company, has entered the US generic market by launching the first generic version of Sugammadex Injection. This move marks Dr. Reddy's entry into the market for Merck Sharp & Dohme B.V.'s Bridion, a product that generated approximately $1.6 billion in U.S. sales over the latest 12-month period ending May 2026.

The Sugammadex Injection is available in two strengths: 200 mg/2 mL (100 mg/mL) and 500 mg/5 mL (100 mg/mL). These formulations are indicated for the reversal of neuromuscular blockade induced by rocuronium bromide and vecuronium bromide in adult and pediatric patients aged 2 years and older undergoing surgery.

Dr. Reddy's has secured first-to-market status, which underscores its execution capabilities and supply reliability in the competitive U.S. generics landscape. The product is manufactured through Dr. Reddy's global supply network, leveraging vertically integrated processes to ensure quality and consistency.
